I have recently read a great article on building links to your car dealership website that helps build your traffic and helps move you up in the listings on search engines. One of the tips is to join the online forums for your particular car line. Google your cars’ make along with “forums” and you will see a number of them. Be sure to look at Edmunds .com as well. Visit these forums often, and post interesting and relevant information.

Be sure NOT to start “marketing” anything. Be a member first. Become the expert from the dealers perspective. Once you are accepted, people will seek you out for advice.

Everyday I hear more and more about using “Social Media” to market everything from books to Brands to barbie dolls. Can it work for Car Dealers.

I believe it can, and it DOES. It works for Automotive Dealers already, no doubt about it.
